We are continuing to monitor, make changes and adapt to the ever changing world around us. Last night San Antonio issued a ‘Shelter in Place’ order. Due to the new ‘Shelter in Place’ restrictions, we cannot see women for the annual/well woman visits until after the restrictions are lifted on April 9, 2020. We understand this is an inconvenience and will refill your medications upon request until you can reschedule your appointment. We do maintain a duty to see all of our Obstetric patients as well as any problem Gynecology visits (abnormal bleeding, pelvic pan, emergent issues, etc)
We are really excited to offer a Telemedicine option for our patients when medically appropriate. We have already started Telemedicine and it’s a fantastic option for follow up appointments, birth control consultations, hormone consults and minor issues such as urinary tract infections, vaginitis, etc. Please keep in mind not all appointments will be appropriate for a telemedicine setting. In most situations, we have found insurance companies are waiving copays/deductibles for telemedicine visits during the COVID-19 crisis.
