COVID 19 Update 3.23.2020

COVID-19 UPDATE

March 23, 2020

Each new day brings more and more information surrounding COVID-19, lending to our need to constantly and consistently evaluate our office procedures and protocols. We continue to operate out of a duty to serve our patients and the community in which we practice. Our main priority remains focused on the safety of our patients, staff and physicians.

With an abundance of caution for safety we have implemented the following procedures:

1. No visitors in the office EXCEPT for one visitor at the 20-week ultrasound, please no children.

2. Minimize contact through social distancing, re-evaluating check in and check out process

3. Staff and physicians MAY wear masks and gloves for protection.

4. We will keep the waiting rooms empty, rooming patients as quickly as possible. If rooms are full, we highly encourage patients to consider waiting in their car. We will call/text when a room is available.

5. Our scheduling team will be completing a screening on the phone prior to scheduling patients in an effort to keep our patients, staff and physicians healthy.

6. We have implemented additional cleaning routines in our offices to include:

a. Front desk area, waiting room and check out area will be wiped down with disinfectant multiple times throughout the day including clip boards, tablets, chairs, door handles, etc. in addition to the deep cleaning we do every evening

b. Exam rooms will be wiped down with disinfectant three times in the morning and three times in afternoon in additional to the deep clean we do every evening

c. Bathrooms will be wiped down with disinfectant three times in the morning and three times in the afternoon in addition to the deep cleaning we do every evening

7. Our offices have hand sanitizer readily available in the waiting room, check in desk, exam room (upon request), and check out area. We also highly recommend good hand washing while in our offices and to refrain from touching your face.

8. Two week post C-Section patients do not need to come in, UNLESS they are experiencing a problem

9. Expanded use of Telemedicine and Patient Portal to communicate with patients when medically appropriate. Please visit www.ne-obgyn.com and select Patient Portal for link.

Northeast OB/GYN is dedicated and committed to providing a safe environment for patients, staff and physicians. We will continue to monitor the situation and keep our patients updated.

Sincerely,

The Physicians and Staff at Northeast OB/GYN Associates
