COVID 19 Update 3.18.2020

March 18, 2020

Our top concern is the safety of our patients, staff and physicians. We are asking any patients who have or have had fever, cough or shortness of breath in the past 48 hours to please refrain from coming in for their appointment. Please reschedule your appointment for a later date, preferably 7 days once you are symptom free.

1. No visitors with patients in the office EXCEPT for one visitor at the 20 week ultrasound.

2. We have implemented additional cleaning routines in our offices to include:

a. Front desk area, waiting room and check out area will be wiped down with disinfectant multiple times throughout the day including clip boards, tablets, chairs, door handles, etc. in addition to the deep cleaning we do every evening

b. Exam rooms will be wiped down with disinfectant three times in the morning and three times in afternoon in additional to the deep clean we do every evening

c. Bathrooms will be wiped down with disinfectant three times in the morning and three times in the afternoon in addition to the deep cleaning we do every evening

3. Our offices have hand sanitizer readily available in the waiting room, check in desk, exam room (upon request), and check out area. We also highly recommend good hand washing while in our offices and to refrain from touching your face.

4. We will keep the waiting rooms empty, rooming patients as quickly as possible. If rooms are full, patients may wait in their car. We will call/text when a room is available.

5. Our scheduling team will be completing a screening on the phone prior to scheduling patients in an effort to keep our patients, staff and physicians healthy.

6. Two week post C-Section patients do not need to come in, UNLESS they are experiencing a problem

If you develop fever, shortness of breath and/or cough, especially after travel or have contact with an individual who has recently traveled internationally it is important to seek medical care right away. Please call your primary care physician or visit you nearest urgent care. We are not equipped to complete testing for COVID-19.

The health of all our patients is our top priority! Thank you so much for your cooperation.

Sincerely,
The Physicians and Staff at Northeast OB/GYN Associates
